From Bergen to Barcelona ::: Norsk Bryllup i Barcelona

Kristin y Haakon got married in June in Norwegian Church of Barcelona, followed by reception in Can Cortada restaurant. During the reception I noticed something really unusual going on .... hmmmm. Shortly after the Bride departed with her Maid of Honor to refresh their make ups :) all girls, married or single, suddenly started approaching the Groom, formed long line and .. one by one started kissing "big-smile-happy" Haakon. It took me by surprise! I did not know what to do!! Should I photograph it .. or Bride should not know ???? :)

I am sooo happy and grateful to be able to experience this diversity of traditions. With so many international clients every reportage carries it's unique character and dynamics. And .. if you happen to be Norwegian male - you get to be kissed by all these beautiful girls .. on your wedding day .. after you got married, ha! Did you know that ?? HERLIG !

I asked the beautiful Bride to write down few words in her native language. Must say, after the Millennium Trilogy, I am in love with all Nordic languages :) Here is what she wrote:

May Wedding of lovely American couple. I was very lucky to be able to accompany the couple during the entire day of their wedding. The ceremony was held in Sitges, by the blue pool of stunning villa in Vinyet. The reception was in Barcelona followed by crazy night in El Born :)) In between we spent one hour walking narrow streets of Bari Gotic looking for memorable and charming streets and corners of our beautiful city. Congratulations Erin & Patrick!

April Wedding in Barri Gòtic

The Gothic Quarter of Barcelona is one of the most picturesque places for a post-wedding photo shoot. And although I have photographed many weddings there - every time we come across something completely new. New narrow dead-end street, freshly painted graffiti and open gate to hidden courtyard. And sometimes getting lost in these tiny streets is the best thing that can happen on the shoot:)
On that day of the wedding of Nadja and Bart, we found a small red heart that someone painted up on the wall above the small fountain ..... kiss, kiss, kiss ..... :)

Nadja had the most unique wedding bouquet. I can not even start explaining what was it made of :)))
